- The Spinnaker Building - Sports Side is a small building with 2 floors.
- There is 1 main lift and 1 staircase within the building.
- The floors are signed as G and 1.
- The Spinnaker building is a large building separated into two parts; the East Side which is mainly for teaching rooms and the Sports Side or South Side which consists of the sports hall and gym on the ground floor and two studios on the first floor.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free level or step-free via slight or steep slope from the car park.
- The step-free level approaches to both building entrances are from Cambridge Road.
The approach from the building car park to the South entrance is step-free via a steep slope that is over 150cm wide which can be bypassed by a slight slope which is only 78cm wide. - There are two entrances into the building which both provide step-free level access to the ground floor entrance foyer.
The most accessible entrance is located at the front of the building and has double automatic doors and the alternative side entrance is located on the right hand side as you face the building and has double manual doors where one is locked. - The entrances are signed as 'Spinnaker Building' above both doors, however there is signage at the side entrance indicating the directions to the 'South Entrance' which is another name for the most accessible entrance.
- The South entrance provides step-free level access to the ground floor on the south side of the Spinnaker Building.
- The side entrance also provides step-free level access to the ground floor on the south side of the Spinnaker Building.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the majority of the building on all floors.
- On the first floor there is a very slight slope in the corridor leading to Studios 1 and 2.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and carpeted.
There is uneven flooring along the first floor corridor where the slope is located.
There is a high colour contrast between the walls and floors in all circulation areas. - There are chairs without armrests in the ground floor entrance foyer and armchairs on the first floor as you exit the lift.
- There is limited wayfinding signage available throughout the building which is not clear to read.
- There is a manual door along the first floor corridor to access studios 1 and 2.
There is also a manual door to access the standard toilets and toilet with adaptations on the ground floor and to access the stairwell. - There is a sports hall located off the ground floor entrance foyer.
The doors into the sports hall are double with one door locked, manual and open towards you.
The width of the doors are 78cm.
