St Andrews is Scotland's first university and the third oldest in the English speaking world, founded in 1413. Over six centuries it has established a reputation as one of Europe's leading and most distinctive centres for teaching and research. The University is set on the beautiful Fife coast surrounded by miles of open countryside, not far from Dundee and Edinburgh.
St Andrews prides itself in providing a supporting environment for its students. The University embraces a positive attitude towards the promotion of equality and diversity, and takes pride in its efforts to create a working, educational and social atmosphere, inclusive of everyone regardless of ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, gender or sexual orientation.
The University of St Andrews strives to make the campus accessible to all users. The University does recognise that, due to the ancient and medieval layout of the town and campus, limitations can be encountered. However, working with AccessAble, the University endeavours to ensure that all its users are aware of the facilities on offer at the University.
