Access To
- CSE/082 and 083 Seminar Rooms are located on the ground floor of the Ian Wand Building, and are accessed by doors located within CSE/080 The Pod. .
- There are separate doors into the front and back of the room labelled as 082 and 083.
They both open away from you and have the same entrance width. . - View information on CSE - Ian Wand Building (opens new tab).
- The most accessible route has step-free level access and manual doors.

- There is written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into CSE 082 and CSE 083 Seminar Rooms.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 86cm.
- The door has a low visual contrast.
Teaching
- This is a seminar room.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a clearly signed fixed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system could not be tested at the time of the survey.
- Floor coverings are not even and could potentially cause a trip hazard.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey.
- There are no designated spaces for wheelchair users.
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in the room includes: chairs without armrests.
- Furniture available in the room includes: tables.
- The surface heights are suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear underside space of the surfaces is suitable for wheelchair users.
- The speaker's desk/table is height adjustable.
- This room has a projector screen and a whiteboard.
- There is a partition wall to separate CSE/082 and CSE/083, at the time of survey (March 2026) this was not being used.
The speaker's area is only present in CSE/082.
Wiring for the speaker's desk may serve as a trip hazard.
