Access To
- E/017 Practice Room is located on the upper ground floor of the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall and Music Research Centre, along the corridor located immediately to your left as you enter the building through the concert hall entrance.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, manual doors and narrow walkways.

- There is written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access to enter E/017 Practice Room.
- There are double manual doors which open towards you.
- One of the doors was locked at the time of the survey.
- The width of the opening is 63cm.
- The doors have a high visual contrast.
- The doors are kept locked. The key card reader to unlock the doors is at a height of 114cm.
Teaching
- This is a teaching room.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey, with unshaded light sources.
- Lighting levels are adjustable.
- There is not space for an assistance dog to rest.
- "Mood" lighting is also available, where the colour and brightness of the lights can be modified.
