Access To
- LFA/204 and 205 - Seminar Room is located on the second floor of the Fairhurst wing, to the left and then to the right as you exit the Fairhurst lift.
- View information on LMO, LFA, LBK and LBU - University Library and Borthwick Institute for Archives (opens new tab) .
- The most accessible route has a lift, a slight ramp or slope, doors permanently held open, automatic doors, narrow walkways and patterned flooring.

- There is written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access to enter LFA/204 and 205 - Seminar Room.
- There are double manual doors which open away from you.
- One of the doors was locked at the time of the survey.
- The width of the opening is 75cm.
- The doors have a high visual contrast.
- This room is usually set out as one large room, and has been surveyed in this state, but has a moveable partition wall in the middle, meaning it can be divided into two smaller rooms. As such, there are two alternative doors to enter the space, both of which have identical specifications. Each individual smaller room would have the same specifications as the original larger room.
Teaching
- This is a seminar room.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a clearly signed fixed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system was tested, however it was not working at the time of the survey.
- The flooring is patterned.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey, with unshaded light sources.
- Lighting levels are adjustable.
- There are no designated spaces for wheelchair users.
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in the room includes: chairs without armrests.
- Furniture available in the room includes: tables and desks.
- The surface height of the tables is suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear height under the tables is suitable for wheelchair users.
- The height of the speaker's desk/table is 96cm.
- The speaker's desk/table is not height adjustable.
- This room has a television screen and a whiteboard.
