Access To
- SLB/118 - W. Mark Ormrod Lecture Theatre is located on the first floor of the Spring Lane Building, straight ahead as you exit the lift.
- There is an additional entrance on the ground floor, immediately to the left as you enter the Spring Lane Building through the campus side entrance. This is mainly used for staff and access to the front row of seats only, and is signed accordingly.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, a lift, automatic doors and patterned flooring.

- There is written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.

- There are double automatic doors which open towards you.
- The push pad for the automatic doors is at a height of 92cm.
- The width of the opening is 155cm.
- The doors have a high visual contrast.
- There is a push pad or push button to exit at a height of 97cm.
- There are a second set of double automatic doors which open towards you.
- The push pad for the automatic doors is at a height of 80cm.

- There is a push pad or push button to exit at a height of 94cm.
- There is a key fob/card reader on the second set of doors, used to gain access to the lecture theatre outside of normal hours. There are two similar sets of double automatic doors at the alternative entrance to the lecture theatre on the ground floor. There are two alternative sets of double manual doors next to the automatic doors at the first floor entrance.
Teaching
- This is a lecture theatre.
- There is step-free level access to the front and back rows only.
- The following areas have stepped access: all seating except for the front and back row.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a clearly signed fixed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system was tested and working at the time of the survey.

- Seating available in the room includes: chairs with armrests, chairs without armrests, benches, lecture chairs and high stools.
