About Crawley Borough Council

Crawley is the ideal place to shop, dine, or enjoy the wealth of leisure facilities. From the charming historic High Street, to the modern shopping centre there is something for everyone. Popular High Street stores are well represented, coupled with good access and excellent parking facilities. The town is perfectly placed to explore the south and has a range of superb sporting facilities, such as one of the best public golf courses in England - Tilgate Forest.  Crawley has a rich history and heritage going back to the Bronze Age, but the town really took off in the 1940's when it was designated one of 8 'New Towns'.
