Getting Inside
- There are uneven surfaces on approach to the Learning Resource Centre from the St Peter's Street car park.
- The Learning Resource Centre has five entrances.
There is one external entrance and three entrances from within the Core, as well as one staircase within the Tower Block that can be used to access the first floor of the Learning Resource Centre.
The external main entrance provides level access and has two sets of automatic double doors. - The main entrance is signed as Welcome.
The other entrance are not signed. - The main entrance provides level access to the Learning Resource Centre on the lower part of the ground floor.
The library entrance is located along the corridor to the rear of the Core. This entrance provides the only step-free access into the Learning Resource Centre Library. - There are to separate stepped entrances into the lower part of the ground floor in the main refectory area of the Core.
There is a staircase in the Tower Block that provides stepped access directly into the Teaching room on the first floor.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the Learning Resource Centre on all floors.
- Step-free level access into the Learning Resource Centre Library is only available via the library entrance situated on the corridor located between the Core refectory and the Motor Vehicle Workshop.
From within the Learning Resource Centre on the ground floor there are five 19cm steps with clear contrast and a handrail to the left to access the library area. - The flooring in the circulation routes is carpeted.
- There are chairs without armrest in the circulation areas alongside a small amount of bench seating in the LRC Study areas and circulation routes.
- There is no wayfinding signage within the Learning Resource Centre.
- There are no manual doors within the circulation routes.

- There is 1 toilet with adaptations.
- The toilet with adaptations is located on the lower part of the ground floor to your left on entering the Learning Resource Centre via the main entrance.
- The toilet with adaptations has a left hand transfer space.
- The toilet with adaptions is also signed for use as a standard shared toilet.
- The male and female step-free toilet facilities are located on the lower part of the ground floor to your left on entering the Learning Resource Centre via the main entrance.

Entrance (Main)
- This entrance is located off the St Peter's Street car park.
- The approach to the entrance has uneven surfaces.

- There is not a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.

- There is a key fob/card reader at a height of 85cm.
- There are double manual doors at this entrance.

Access To (Library from The Core)
- The only step-free access into the library is located along the corridor to the rear of The Core.
- To reach this access point from the Learning Resource Centre it is necessary to use the stair lift to bypass the steps at the entrance to The Core.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, a platform lift and shiny flooring.
- There is no signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into the library.

- There are no doors at the entrance only a shutter.
The shutter is generally kept closed please alert a member of staff in order to have it opened.
