Access Guide
Access To (Museum of Classical Archaeology)
- The Museum of Classical Archaeology is located on the first floor of the Faculty of Classics (Classics Stage 1) building.
- Through the Classics Stage 1 building, there is access by stairs only to the Museum. However, there is step-free level access (once inside the building) to the Museum, using Entrance 3 and the Lift in the Faculty of Classics (Classics Stage 2 and 3), and then going through the first floor of this building and over the link bridge into the Faculty of Classics (Classics Stage 1), where this entrance is located. To utilise this route, visitors are asked to speak to someone at the Enquiries reception inside the main entrance to the Faculty of Classics (Classics Stage 1), who will then escort you along this route.

- The most accessible route has a lift, a steep ramp or slope, automatic doors, narrow walkways, shiny flooring and deep pile carpet.

Entrance (Museum of Classical Archaeology - Main Entrance)
- This entrance is located on the first floor of the Faculty of Classics (Classics Stage 1), to the left at the top of the stairs.
- The entrance area is clearly signed.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There is a key fob/card reader at a height of 118cm.
- The key card reader is only required for access outside of normal opening hours.
- There is a single manual door at this entrance.
- The door has an open extension leaf.
- The door opens towards you.
- The width of the opening is 132cm.
- The door has a high colour contrast.
- There is a push pad or push button to exit at a height of 108cm.
- The push button is only required to exit outside of normal opening hours.
- There is step-free level access as you enter.
Entrance (Museum of Classical Archaeology - Accessible Entrance)
- This entrance is located to the rear left of the Faculty of Classics (Classics Stage 1) on the first floor, straight ahead along the corridor as you enter from the Faculty of Classics (Classics Stage 2 and 3) via the link bridge.
- The entrance area is not clearly signed.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There is a single manual door at this entrance.
- The door opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 75cm.
- The door has a high colour contrast.
- There is step-free level access as you enter.
- This entrance provides step-free level access (once inside the building) to the Museum of Classical Archaeology, using Entrance 3 and the Lift in the Faculty of Classics (Classics Stage 2 and 3), and then going through the first floor of this building and over the link bridge into the Faculty of Classics (Classics Stage 1), where this entrance is located. Reception (Museum of Classical Archaeology)
