Access Guide
Introduction
- Services / facilities within the building include Library, Learning Zone, Quiet Zone, Second Floor Computer Room and Group Study Rooms.
- The venue is located on the first floor of the Tower Block. After entering the London College and Communication and heading through the reception barriers. This area can be reached in two ways. Enter the Tower Block via the Typo Café and take the lift to the first floor (The entrance from the Typo Café is only accessible for staff and needs to be granted for students with specific access needs). From there enter the canteen area via the LCC Restaurant Entrance from the Tower Block. Step free access to the second floor can only be gained by use of the Tower Block lift. Alternatively the Library can be accessed via The Street. To do this head into the Workshop Block and take the lift to the first floor. Then exit the Workshop Block onto The Street and enter the canteen via the LCC Restaurant Entrance from The Street. Then turn right once inside the canteen area to reach the Library Main Entrance.
- The first floor of the library is divided into two areas the Learning Zone which is accessed immediately upon entering via the main entrance and the Quiet Zone which is located to your right. The Learning Zone features the Computer and Library Information Reception and offers the use of A3 scanners, Macs and PCs. The Quiet Zone offers Books, Journals and other Library facilities. Stepped entrance is Stepped access to the LCC Restaurant is located immediately beyond the College of Communication entrance barriers in the Street. These stairs lead from the ground to the first floor. Upon reaching the first floor the LCC Restaurant Entrance from The Street will be located on your right. Upon entering the LCC Restaurant the Library main entrance will be located on your right.

- The building is located off Newington Butts, which is part of the A3.
It is just inside, but right on the edge, of the Congestion Zone. - There is a small car park for pre-arranged visitors and staff to the right of the College site, inside the Congestion Zone.
There is permit holder only parking off Oswin Street, also in the Congestion Zone.

- Along Newington Butts there are Bus stops S, T, P and V.
Stop S serves routes 35, 40, 133, 136, 333, 343, 415, N133 and N343.
Stop T serves routes 45, 100, 155, 196 and P5.
Stop P serves routes 133, 155, 196, 333, 415, N133 and N155.
Stop V serves routes 12, 68, 148, 171, 176, 468, N68, N89, N155 and N171.

The College buildings are approximately 100m from the station and are accessed via the Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre.
