The Hive

  • The Hive is the area between the access point and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Entrance. This area is free to enter.
  • The Hive houses the Hex Hotel, forthcoming Conference Centre, Amphitheatre and eateries including Evolution Experience Restaurant, Wilds Café Bistro and independent shops.
  • The surface of the pathways around the Hive are resin.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park

  • The paths beyond the Yorkshire Wildlife Park gated access points take you to the various themed areas of the park including Safari Village and iCaramba. The surface of the paths in the Wildlife Park are concrete with some loose pebbles.
  • There are some easy slopes throughout.

Access Point (Lion Country)

    • This information is for the access point located within the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
    • There is an information board/map at this access point.

Lion Country

  • The pathways within the Lion Country are compressed gravel with a loose chipping surface.
  • There is a bridge to cross within the grounds which has a concrete surface. The pathways within the area have an easy to steep gradient.
  • There are park benches along the pathways in various locations.
  • To the centre of the area there is a picnic table with a roofed covering.
  • Upon leaving the area there are signposts to direct you to different areas.

Accessible Toilet

  • Accessible toilet facilities are not available.

    • There are no public toilet facilities within the Lion Country.
    • The nearest accessible toilets from the Lion Country would be the Polar Ice toilets close to the Safari Village.
