- St James Quarter is located just off Princes Street on the east side of the city centre, between the A900 Leith Walk, and York Place. If visiting St James Quarter by car, please use one of the following postcodes for your navigation system:
St James Place car park entrance: EH1 3BP.
Leith Street car park entrance: EH1 3AS. - St James Quarter has short and long stay parking in an underground car park on 3 levels: B1, B2, and B3. There are vehicle entrances on the north side off York Place on St James Place, and on the south side off Leith Street.

By Bus

- There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.
- There are bus stops on Leith Street, York Place and Picardy Place, with regular services from the city centre and surrounding areas.

By Train

- The nearest Railway Station is Edinburgh Waverley Station.
- Edinburgh Waverley Station is served by intercity and local services, and is the principle station for the city of Edinburgh. The station is located approximately 300 metres (0.2 miles) south-west of the Princes Street entrance.
There is a lift from the main platform concourse to Princes Street level.

By Tram

- The nearest tram stop is St Andrew Square.
- Trams run regularly from Edinburgh Airport, west of the city centre, and from Leith and Newhaven in the east.
The nearest tram stop to the Multrees entrance is St Andrew Square, approximately 200 metres from the entrance via Multrees Walk.
The nearest tram stop to the Picardy entrance is Picardy Place, approximately 200 metres from the Picardy entrance, off Little King Street. - Please find cycle parking spaces and covered bike racks on Little King Street by the Picardy Street, on Elder Street by the Multrees entrance, and on James Craig Walk to the left of Registrar Square and the Princes Street entrance. For health and safety reasons, riding cycles or scooters is not allowed within the Quarter.

- St James Quarter Hands Free Shopping is provided by Dropit. Download the Dropit app to book and have parcels dropped at participating stores, Guest Services, or even direct to your home.
- Guest Services Associates, Security Officers, Cleaning Operatives and Car Park Attendants receive Autism Awareness training.
- There is a member of staff trained in British Sign Language. Please phone the venue in advance for more information
- Guest Services Associates do receive training in escorting visually impaired people.
- For assistance in getting around the shopping centre, or for assistance in getting directions, guests should ideally contact Guest Services before visiting, or go to the Guest Services counter or reception on Level 1 Yellow Zone - Multrees end.

- There is not an assistance dog toilet or toileting area at the venue/nearby.
