  • The route here is even with a level stone slab surface.
  • Turn left after approximately 25m and head between the Welcome Centre and Elm Grove Halls on the left, and the Library and the Harvey Building on the right.
  • The path here is on a slope with a slight gradient.
  • Following this path along the tree-lined avenue, there is a campus map and directional signage on the right.
  • After approximately 80m, the path terminates at a set of bollards approximately 140cm apart.
  • Continue diagonally left across the shared road surface for 20m, being aware of moving vehicles and cyclists.
  • The Richardson Building main entrance is located on the right.

Richardson Building To Digby Stuart Square

  • The route continues to the right in front of the Richardson Building.
  • After approximately 15m there is a short section of pavement to the left with dropped kerbs.
  • After a further 5m turn left between the Richardson and Jubilee buildings.
  • The Jubilee Building was in a state of reconstruction at the time of survey (September 2024).
  • There were scaffolding facades on the right hand side of the route past the Jubilee Building.
  • Any resulting width restriction remained above 150cm for this part of the route.
  • The route continues along an uneven tarmac surface on a slope with a slight gradient, and levels out after approximately 30m.
  • After a further 20m, continue left around a service building onto a paving slab surface which is even.
  • After a further 5m there is a ramp with a slope on a slight gradient and handrails on both sides.
  • After the ramp, continue for approximately 15m to turn right under a covered walkway.
  • The surface under the walkway changes to block paving.
  • Continue under the walkway past the Howard Building main entrance on the right, and The Den Diner and Café on the left.
  • The other side of the walkway opens out on the left into Digby Stuart Square.

Digby Stuart Square To Medical Centre

  • Continuing ahead into Digby Stuart Square the ground surface is an even, level brick block surface.
  • After approximately 25m at the end of the square, turn right in front of Digby Chapel.
  • Here the route progresses up a 5m long slope with a steep incline.
  • Continue towards the exit to Digby Stuart Square via a brick archway 180cm wide.
  • There is wall mounted signage here on the right for Garden Court, New Court and Old Court.
  • Beyond the archway the path surface changes to a loose stone path on a slope with a very easy gradient.
  • The path levels out after approximately 20m and the surface changes to concrete set gravel.
  • After a further 10m there is post mounted signage for Old Court.
  • Turn left here, passing Garden Court on the left.
  • Continue diagonally along cobblestones for 15m to the far right corner of the courtyard towards a covered walkway.
  • Continue through the walkway into the Old Court courtyard which has a very uneven, cobblestone surface with a slight downward camber to the left.
  • Continue across to the far right corner of the Old Court courtyard towards another covered walkway.
  • The surface through the archway is tarmac and is on a reasonably even slope with a very easy incline.
  • The entrance to the Medical Centre can be seen immediately to the right after the exit to the archway.
