Access Guide
Introduction
- This is a route from the University Welcome Centre to the Queens Building main entrance via university pedestrian paths.
- This route passes the Library, Shaw House Accommodation and Southlands Chapel. This route is approximately 300m long and take around 4 minutes to complete.

Welcome Centre to Queens Building
- Exit the Welcome Centre and turn left towards the Library Building.
- The pavement here has an even and level stone block surface.
- After approximately 40m turn right in front of the Library.
- There is a long, slight gradient along the front of the Library building, leading down away from you.
- The pavement has a stone block surface.
- After approximately 70m turn left then immediately right around the edge of the Library building and onto the tarmac path, shown in photographs 6 and 7.
- The tarmac path is even and level.
- Continue straight for approximately 10m and bear right as the path splits, shown in photograph 8 (the left path leads to Shaw House)
- Keep right along the path for approximately 60m.
- Bear right as path splits in front of the chapel (shown in photograph 12).
- After approximately 20m turn left to face the Queens Building.
- Head straight towards the Queens Building main entrance, shown in photograph 15 and 16.
- A slight ramp leads up to the Queens Building main entrance.
