Getting Help and Assistance

- There is not a member of staff trained in British Sign Language. Please phone the venue in advance for more information.
- British Sign Language interpreters cannot be provided on request.
- Guest Services Associates do receive training in escorting visually impaired people.
- An escorting service for visitors with visual impairment is available.
Visitors should ask for the service at the Customer Services desk on the Lower Mall. - The alternative formats documents can be provided in include; large print on request.
- Alternative formats of the shopping centre map are available in large print.
- There is not an assistance dog toilet or toileting area at the venue/nearby.
- There is a designated place of safety which can be used by people with dementia, autism or learning disabilities.
- There is a Welcome Room which is located on the Upper Mall by Next.
- The venue does not offer a quiet shopping experience.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are not available.
- There are mobility aids available.
- The mobility aids available include wheelchairs, motorised wheelchairs, tri wheel walkers and mobility scooters.
- To obtain mobility aids please contact Simplelife Mobility on the Upper Mall.
Getting Here
- Merry Hill is located on the A4036, around three miles south-west of Dudley town centre, and is about 10 miles west of Birmingham city centre.
Merry Hill is easily accessible from the M5 and main routes from Birmingham.
For visitors using a sat nav please use the postcode; DY5 1QX. - There are 7 car parks located around the shopping centre; P1, P2 (surface and multi-storey), P3, P4, P5 (short stay only - maximum 4 hours), P6 (multi-storey) and P7.

- There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the shopping centre.
- There are bus services going into the shopping centre at the on-site bus stop, which is located near the Asda mall entrance P5.

- The nearest railway station is Cradley Heath.
- There are frequent rail services to Cradley Heath Train Station from Birmingham, Worcester, West Bromwich and Stourbridge.

Reception
- The reception point is located to the right after entering through the doors.
- The reception point is approximately 10m (10yd 2ft) from the entrance.
- Clear signage for the reception area/desk is not visible from the entrance.
- There is step-free access to the reception point.
- There is not a clear unobstructed route to the reception point.
- There are no windows, TVs, glazed screens or mirrors behind the reception point which could adversely affect the ability of someone to lip read.
- The reception counter is not placed in front of a background which is patterned.
- The lighting levels at the reception point are good.
- The height of the reception counter is 72cm.
- There is sufficient space to write or sign documents on the counter.
- Clipboards can be provided to anyone who is unable to use the desk.

Generic
- Simplelife Mobility hires out motorised scooters at £15 for 4 hours, and self-propelled wheelchairs, transit wheelchairs, Tri-Walkers and Rollators at £10 for 4 hours.
- They offer a last hour special which is £5 or £3 respectively.
- The shop also sells mobility aids.
