Getting Help and Assistance
- For general enquiries prior to your visit please click here to contact the venue.
- There are park wardens located around the gardens and park areas to provide assistance if needed.
- In an emergency call: 01753 860 222 or the Emergency Services on 999.
- For car park issues call: 07825 430 192.
- There is a defibrillator available at the main counter in The Savill Garden Visitor Centre.
- A member of staff can get the defibrillator and bring it to a visitor elsewhere in the grounds.

By Road
View
- The Deer Park and Long Walk are located to the North of Windsor Great Park. It does not have its own car park. The nearest car park is at The Savill Garden Visitor Centre (off Wick Road).
- The Savill Garden Visitor Centre Car Park (off Wick Road) has accessible parking available.

By Bus
View
- There is not a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.
- The White Bus Service runs from Windsor to Ascot through Windsor Great Park on Monday to Saturday. Take the bus from Windsor High Street or Ascot Train Station.

By Train
View
- The nearest railway stations are Egham, Windsor Central and Windsor Riverside, Ascot and Virginia Water. From London Paddington, First Great Western trains operate a service to Windsor Central via a change at Slough. South West Trains operate services from London Waterloo to the other stations. A taxi will be needed to complete your journey into the Park, this usually takes around 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic.

Queen Anne's Gate Parking to The Long Walk
- The Queen Anne’s Gate car park is the nearest to the Deer Park. There is no accessible parking.
- The route from the car park to the Long Walk is approximately 500m.
- The route from the car park to the Long Walk crosses the A332, the crossing doesn’t have a pedestrian crossing point.
- Caution is advised when crossing due to traffic coming from both directions.
- There is a gate onto the path from the crossing point, the gate opens away from you and is 90cm.
- There is not clear directional signage along the route.
- There is step free access along the route.
- The surface of the path varies between tarmac and compacted stones.
- The path joins the Long Walk next to Middlegate.
The Long Walk
- The Long Walk is located to the north of Windsor Great Park.
- The Long Walk can be accessed from within the Deer Park, Kings Road and Park Street.
- There is step free access along the path.
- The surface of the path is tarmac.
- The Long Walk is 4.2 km from Snow Hill within the Deer Park to the Windsor Castle Gates.
- There is a steep slope leading up Snow Hill and to the Cooper Horse Statue.
- Half way along the Long Walk there is the Middlegate.
- The width of the kissing gate is 90cm.
- There is telephone number at the gate which can be used to contact the Park Wardens to open the vehicle automatic gate, to provide easier access.
- The Long Walk crosses Kings Road. There are no pedestrian signals at the crossing.
- Caution is advised when crossing due to traffic travelling from both directions when not using the pedestrian signal.
- The crossing is level with the Long Walk.
- There is no seating available along the Long Walk.
