About UCL

UCL is committed to improving the inclusive design and accessibility of its buildings, as demonstrated by its Inclusive Design strategy and the accompanying policy and action plan. These guides will tell you about the accessibility of buildings as we progress on that journey. You can learn more about this work at the Inclusive Environments website.

The guides do not show day-to day breakdowns. They are updated regularly as changes are made to the building in terms of construction rather than maintenance.

Please note, whilst many of our buildings have lifts, not all lifts yet have the capability to assist with emergency evacuation. Anyone who needs assistance to evacuate from floors above or below ground entrance level will need to have a PEEP (Personal Emergency Egress Plan) completed for the building they intend to visit. You can learn more about arranging Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans here.

If booking a space where level access is required, please first contact UCL’s Fire Safety team for building-specific evacuation and safety information at [email protected] / Telephone Number: 020 7679 7234.

If you would like further information about UCL’s facilities and support please email: [email protected] or telephone 020 7679 0000 (8am-5pm Monday – Friday), please note should they be unable to answer your query themselves they will ensure you are connected to someone who can assist
